A fishbone diagram helps team members visually diagram a problem or condition's root causes, allowing them to truly diagnose the problem rather than focusing on symptoms. It allows team members to separate a problem's content from its history, and allows for team consensus around the problem and its causes.  

The stakeholder analysis matrix allows a planning team to identify individuals and groups that are stakeholders in an  activity, either as contributors, influencers or beneficiaries.

Indicators are tools used to measure SBCC program progress. They are used in program monitoring to assess the state of a program by defining its characteristics or variables, and then tracking changes in those characteristics over time or between groups. Indicators are key to any effective monitoring and evaluation system.
