The COVID-19 pandemic is causing unimaginable human suffering and is likely to heighten gender-based inequalities around the world. As economic activity comes to a halt, women who face disadvantage in access to decent work will suffer the most.

This guideline is meant to help countries to more effectively and efficiently plan, develop and monitor programmes and services that promote gender equality and human rights and hence are more acceptable and appropriate for women living with HIV, taking into account the national and local epidemiological context. It discusses implementation issues that health interventions and service delivery must address to achieve gender equality and support human rights.

This is a reference guide for family planning counseling of individuals, couples, and special groups by train VCT counselors.  It lists various types of contraception, and then divides the audience by men, d women and couples and for each offers guidance depending on whether the individual being counseled is HIV positive or HIV negative.
